Internationalizing Dutch Product

One of JazzNL’s ambitions is to contribute to the globalization of jazz through collaboration. The Netherlands has tons of exceptionally talented jazz artists, however opportunities for them to perform abroad are rather slim, mostly due to lack of support or guidance. Therefor our existing World Jazz Network is a good starting point. With the right support, guidance and sharing of knowledge, we can open new doors for Dutch jazz artists.

What we do for Dutch jazz artists:

  • Support for International Touring:

Providing practical support to Dutch jazz musicians who want to tour internationally. This includes offering advice and assistance in obtaining official documents such as invitation letters, applying for grants and funds, arranging work permits, and providing information on local regulations.

  • Coaching and Guidance:

JazzNL aims to play an active role in increasing the visibility and success of Dutch jazz artists at an international level. We offer coaching and guidance to artists concerning international exchanges. Alexander Beets plays an important role in this, being responsible for the coaching process. He will serve as a coach/tour manager during and in preparation for international tours. As a musician, he will also bring his saxophone to play a modest role. After all, doors are opened through music, and that is what connects us. The coaching process aims to support and guide Dutch jazz musicians with international ambitions in achieving their international careers.

  • Collaborations and Exchanges:

Facilitating collaborations and exchanges between Dutch jazz musicians and international artists. This can be achieved by organizing joint projects, residencies, or actively matching Dutch artists with foreign partners.

  • Jazz Education and Workshops:

Promoting jazz education and workshops, both nationally and internationally. Offering educational programs and workshops can contribute not only to the professional development of Dutch jazz musicians but also to the sharing of knowledge on an international level.
